I was going through all of my client images of 2011, trying to compile a “favorite of 2011″ slideshow, when I decided that I’d be THAT mom, and do one of my little first. These few images do not even being to scratch the surface of my “favorite pile” – but they are a good start. More to come soon- along with beautiful people I photographed in 2011.

We’ve made it. Finally unpacked and settled- give or take a box or ten We are officially in the Austin area & welcome any new Austin area clients. I will still be photographing portraits, births, and events between San Antonio and Austin ( and occasionally the DFW area ) so tell your friends!
You can see some of my work at Central Texas Birth Center in Georgetown & soon to be at New Braunfels Birth Center!! So exciting!

The image below was taking at two of the “Play me I’m yours” spots in Austin, Texas. I wish I could have seen them all!
From April 1-May 1, 2011 14 pianos hit the streets of Austin, Texas as part of Art Week Austin hosted by Art Alliance Austin. Located throughout downtown in public parks, streets and squares, the pianos were available for any member of the public to play. The pianos were also free for the public to decorate and personalize.

Personal | New Braunfels First Birthday Photography

If it seems like all I have been posting about is personal stuff, I apologize. Not much work has been done outside of getting ready for my little gnome’s first birthday ( aside from a quick commercial job ) – more cute babies and families coming very soon- but first:

At 8:19 this morning- my little baby – officially turned one! We spent most of the day- just hanging out – my husband, the birthday boy, and myself- saving the partying for the party on Saturday. We did, however, get a quick first birthday smash cake in today.

Then we had our smash cake today. I really like how it turned out- I was worried since I made everything myself. I can’t wait to see the cake and the cupcakes for the party!

This Monday we didn’t get injured! Hooray!!
Just a few more days ( 3 – if anyone is counting ) and my baby boy turns one! We played around downtown New Braunfels, looking for some great spots to do our “real” first birthday shoot. I think we may have found THE spot.

I have so much blogging to catch up on- stay tuned for a Hospital Birth in New Braunfels & a 1 year old Birthday session in Gruene!

Mine on Monday | Personal

If Hudson could talk, he’d probably ask me to STOP the mine on Monday posts. Why?
It seems like every Monday, when I’m snapping a few pictures of him for the blog- something happens that ends in tears.
The first mine on Monday was his busted lip and last week we had the background incident.
This week, we were already done, I put Hudson in his Winnie the Pooh car that he got from his grandparents for Christmas, grabbed my camera, and sat on the floor with him in his play area. He stood up, leaned over the side to try to get another toy, and fell over – ending in a bump on his head ( once again ) and tears! Poor baby!!

He will be one in 10 days! My goodness it goes by so quick. I wish I could keep him this little for forever!
The second picture is him doing “book” in sign language. It’s his favorite thing to sign right now- besides milk:) I’m so glad we started teaching him a few months ago. It really is SO much easier when they can try tell you what they want or need and you can understand some of it. He’s got a pretty good list of words the knows, and we are constantly trying to add to it. Every day he picks up something new!!!
